I know exactly where you are because I have been there too. I know how it feels to have low self-esteem despite appearing as an extrovert. I too have experienced body dysmorphia, self-hate and anxiety. Through my education and journey, I discovered that in order to become peak performers in life & fitness, we must start taking care of our bodies from within. This means shifting our focus to see the bigger picture and aim to achieve optimal health, both mental and physical.
You and I both know the difference a great coach can make in an athlete’s life. I have personally worked with clients stuck plateau-ing in strength and muscle gain, clients navigating nagging injuries, clients getting ready for their next performance and clients looking to take a more holistic approach to their nutrition and training. Up until my own experience with a concussion and resulting Post-Concussion Syndrome, I was interested in the topic from a natural health and wellness perspective given my experience in holistic nutrition, fitness, and contact sports. But the topic now hits home for me in a way I never expected.
